Her branding model is a success because it is designed to stand out from every other mobile grooming service in her area.
Have you ever noticed how 90% of the mobile groomers in the US have nearly identical logos consisting of a “dog in a bathtub?” I don’t know about you, but I can’t tell those companies apart. There are several lessons we can learn from Alissa’s expertise–not to mention her A+ grooming skills!
1) She has an overall, cohesive theme to her brand.
2) Her pet washing trailer is NOT white, thereby standing out from the crowd. Think about it, there is a reason why UPS uses BROWN trucks and Coke uses red. If they were white, you’d probably not have ever noticed them. (GT Grooming Trailers has about a dozen colors to choose from).
3) She carries her theme into the language on her website. For example, her website says, “every pup has the right to be groomed.” Keeping a theme is fun and most of all, it is REMEMBERED by those who see her website or printed advertising.
4) She maintains a professional appearance. Her desire for cleanliness and quality is clear. Alissa introduces herself on her website in a way that carries well with her shoppers. Because I have met her, I would trust her completely with MY pets, but the public needs to “meet the groomer” and have a good impression–Alissa does that perfectly.
5) She clearly communicates her desire to do business with integrity.
6) Her grooming trailer, her truck, her business cards, and phone message all share the same theme which tells the public that she IS a professional
