Hydro Hype
April 7, 2006
The growing popularity of recirculating bathing systems is something to be skeptical about. I understand that the idea is to shorten the bathing time, mix the shampoo for you, and “massage” the dog. Here are my thought: The actual bathing of the dog is quite possibly the quickest portion of the grooming process. Really, how long does is take for you to bathe the dog? The mixing of the shampoo is something that naturally happens anyway. The use of the word “massage” screams GIMMICK to me. Also; hundreds of dollars for such a device, I think, can better be used for other supplies. Most concerning to me is the fact that it does what it says, which is RECIRCULATES the water! Is there an actual groomer out there who is not aware of how gross the dog’s bathwater can be? There are times when the bath water going down the drain is so dirty that I can’t even see through it. What if the dog urinates? What if the dog has some sort of skin condition?
Perhaps is just an easy way to recirculate Kool-aid.
